Vitamins are the essential nutrient for proper body functioning. Natural and abundant source of the vitamins is diet. Therefore, the people who are vitamin deficient try to include healthy diet. Supplement of vitamins in the form of tablets also improves vitamin level in the body. Vitamin supplement need to be in according with daily allowances.
Necessary vitamins in the body are vitamin A, B complex, Vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin K. consumption of leafy vegetables, fortified cereals, fruits and milk improves vitamin A level inside the body. Butter, dairy products, oily fish, liver, lean meat, are the good source of vitamin E and vitamin K. Vitamin B complex increases in the level by consumption of brewers meat, egg yolk, organ meat, legumes, fish and whole grains. Vitamin C sources are asparagus, cabbage family, citrus, berries, chili papers, rose hips and melons. One will get copious amount of vitamin D from the sun light.
Some of the vitamins are water-soluble and some are fat-soluble. Water-soluble vitamins are soluble in water. Generally, after consumption of these vitamins eventually wash out from the body through urine. Therefore, daily these vitamins are required in the body. Many vitamins are fat-soluble that are soluble in fats. Body will consume them and stores it in the form of fats. Therefore, daily consumption of the vitamins is not needed. These vitamins are in the fat forms saturates in the body and as per the requirement they are provided to the body.
To maintain the level of water-soluble vitamins, daily supplement is needed. Daily diet does this job, but when diet is incapable to maintain proper vitamin level then other supplement of vitamins to the regular diet is needed. These supplements are either in the form of tablets or in the form of injections. Consumption of the vitamins according to the RDA; benefits the body by improving and maintaining the vitamin level. Tablets work well than the injections as injection washes away quickly. However, to increase the vitamin level soon injection vitamins are prescribed.
