Vaccine Reactions

Vaccination is a medical procedure which is used to make an individual human body immune to diseases, making the immune system to react. The immune system of an organism acts as a resistance against viruses, bacteria, parasites, and some poisons. Immune systems of different organisms have many variations and some have more than one immune system in them (like the human brain having its own immune system other than the normal one). The immune system reacts against the infections and makes the body immune to them. To fight against any virus or bacteria that cause the disease, the body is vaccinated.

Vaccination is also referred as immunization. Both these words have different meaning and people mean the same when they use these words. It has small as well as severe adverse effects on human body. Public awareness has been made about the true reactions of vaccine and adverse effects of vaccination. Despite concerns about vaccine safety, Even though vaccination safety is concerned still it is safer than accepting the risks for the diseases these vaccines prevent.

An adverse effect can be defined as an anomalous, harmful, undesired side-effect resulting from any medical therapy or medical intervention like vaccinations, also drug, physical therapy, surgery, medical procedure, use of a medical device, etc.

Listed below are few of the adverse effects of vaccination:

Fever greater than—- 40.4C
Fever 39.0-40C
InfectiveAbscess
Sterile Abscess/Nodule/Necrosis
Severe Pain and/or Severe Swelling
Adenopathy
AllergicReaction
Rashes
Anaphylaxis
Hypotonic-Hyporesponsive Episode/Excessive Somnolence
Arthralgia/Arthritis
Severe Vomiting and/or Diarrhea
Screaming Episode/Persistent Crying
Convulsion/Seizure
Encephalopathy
Meningitisand/orEncephalitis
Anaesthesia/Paraesthesia
Paralysis
Guillain-Barré Syndrome
Miscellaneous Parotitis
Thrombocytopenia

Sometimes vaccination can give more sickness than prevention. Now-a-days many people are vaccinated to get cured and very few of them get sick which the vaccination prevents. So they don't think of the risk they take or the adverse effects of vaccination.

The leading medical organizations like the World Health Organization, the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the United States Centers for Disease Control supports vaccination and consider them safe. They believe it can be used to fight against the sickness rather giving adverse effects.
