Every body should get this vaccine. Children under 9 years should get 2 doses separated by at least 4 weeks. It should be given once a year as immunity declines in a year.

Measles vaccine is a live, attenuated and it is given in the fatty layer of tissue under the skin. First dose should be given to children after age of 12 months. One more after some time but before 12 months should be given. It is recommended for all children and certain adolescents and adults.
