In order to produce viral vaccines in a large scale, virus must be reproduced in a large scale. Virus will be reproduced with the help of cells only. These cells must be fed properly. Usually they are fed with bovine, calf serum etc. These products may contain lot bovine borne virus. This is the primary source for vaccine contamination. This contamination is present in the source material like human blood, human tissues and animal tissues. Vaccine produced on contaminated cells will produce diseases. So the safety and purity of vaccines need to be checked for any bovine contaminants.

A study shows that 75 % of the labs contain contaminated cells. So vaccines provided to people in groups require to be checked for any contaminations. Some vaccines are produced by growing virus in chicken eggs. Some diseases that are prevented from this vaccine include measles, influenza and yellow fever. Ebola virus may cause severe respiratory problems among small children. Many parents do not even know why their children have such health problems.
