Vitamins are the organic compounds that are nutrients and required in very small quantity for the metabolic reactions in the body. Though these are the nutrients, it does not include other nutrients. Vitamins will also maintain the health of the body and helps in the functionality. Therefore, for the healthy life style intake of vitamins through the food is mandatory.

Our body is unable to generate the vitamins and therefore it is customary to include vitamins externally in to our body. These can be getting through the sources such as green vegetables, fish, eggs, milk, milk products, etc. Basically, there are six types of vitamins. They are called as vitamin A, B, C, D, E and K.
