Treatment Of Pe Scams And Spam
Another day and another wad of spam in your e-mail box. Of course, as you no doubt know, most of the spam is advertising products that are scams. This includes the e-mail spam for products that tout their ability to "cure" premature ejaculation. From creams to pills, many products promise, at exorbitant prices, to curb or eliminate premature ejaculation and other sexual problems. Many products are advertised as "sexual enhancers" or they promise you longer lasting, powerful erections and better control over ejaculation. Just like you shouldn't believe e-mail claims about replica watches, you shouldn't believe their claims about solving your premature ejaculation problems or any other set of sexual problems. Buyer beware.
The plain truth is that the use of medications and drugs to slow down ejaculation has not been particularly successful, with only 30 or 35% of cases being treated successfully. This is true of drugs that have gone through the rigorous drug testing process and been officially approved to treat sexual conditions. So your confidence should be far less about mail order products hyped on the Internet.
Premature ejaculation is properly considered a mental, not a physical issue. Males are conditioned by societal pressures to make sure they reach climax in a short time. This may start as fear of discovery when masturbating as teenagers or during early sexual experiences in a car or a parent's house. This pattern of quick sexual release once ingrained is difficult to change even in a marital or other long-term relationship. The fact that female arousal and climax require far more time than male arousal and climax also results in ejaculation that is considered by both partners as premature, too soon.
Premature ejaculation is thus really a lack of control. It is not something that a pill can fix. There needs to be a holistic approach of mind and emotions not just physical to improve the ability to delay ejaculation. Because most of the people behind these products are not trained sex therapists they can not really help with the core issues of premature ejaculation. Sometimes premature ejaculation is a sign that all is not well within the relationship. A mail order salesperson is not going to help in sorting out conflicts in the relationship or be able to refer couples for counseling to professionals with appropriate experience and training.
If you have questions about dealing with premature ejaculation take the opportunity to talk the whole matter through with a professional. This is certainly a much better approach than trusting information in a spam e-mail. Approach your general practitioner physician or a psychologist for assistance. He or she will either be able to undertake appropriate treatment or will be able to refer you to somebody who specializes in sexual or relationship problems. If a physician has some training or experience in the management of premature ejaculation and is comfortable discussing the problem, then that physician may recommend counseling, medication, or both. Referral to a sex therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist is the next step.
