Treatment Of Pe Anaesthetic
Premature ejaculation is a common complaint. Some estimates are that between 10 and 20 percent of men experience problems with premature ejaculation at some point in their lives. Some estimate that more men suffer from premature ejaculation than the more commonly talked about erectile dysfunction. Premature ejaculation can be quite devastating to the sexual intimacy of a couple. A continued lack of ejaculation control may lead to sexual dissatisfaction for either or both partners and may be a factor in sexual tension or discord in the relationship.
There is a lot of interest in the area of treatment of premature ejaculation as men desire to have longer and more satisfying sex for both themselves and their partner. The condition is only rarely caused by a physical or structural problem. Therefore, it is not a condition that can be easily treated with pills like Viagra or Cialis can treat erectile dysfunction. That does not, however, mean that there is no treatment for premature ejaculation. A simple desensitizing cream can work.
Local anesthetic creams may be applied to the penis to decrease stimulation. Ejaculation is caused by high excitement caused by nerve stimulation. By deadening the nerve endings on the penis a man can reduce the urge to orgasm and thus ejaculate. By reducing that urge the man can last longer. Doctors have found that drugs approved for other conditions can treat premature ejaculation. Lidocaine, benzocaine, and prilocaine, are all varieties of anesthetic skin creams that are often used to ease the pain of skin conditions such as shingles or rashes. Just as they are used to reduce pain and discomfort to nerve endings that can also deaden nerves in the penis and can delay ejaculation when applied to the penis. Simple combinations of lidocaine cream or related topical anesthetic agents can be used to reduce premature ejaculation and are safe as long as the user is not allergic to the substance.
Condom use may also have the effect of deadening sensation for some men and in fact some condoms now come with desensitizing creams on them. The Performa condom, from Durex, contains an anesthetic which delays a man's orgasm by "minutes", the company says. The condom is coated with benzocaine that can prolonged sex.
In Korea and other areas of the far east, a product known as SS Cream is used. The cream is a combination of herbal ingredients that has been shown to desensitize the penis, decrease the urge to orgasm quickly, and help men prone to premature ejaculation to significantly delay their ejaculatory response. Unfortunately, SS Cream has not yet been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
There are a few minor drawbacks to desensitizing creams. Men generally don't like the reduced sensitivity even if it is necessary. If too much cream is applied, the anesthetic effect can be so strong that a man can't reach orgasm at all. Also unless the man wears a condom, the cream can rub off and numb his partner, too. All things considered though, anesthetic creams combined with practice and relaxation will help most men deal with the problem.
