Teenage Motherhood

When a teen becomes a mother it is the most difficult experience for the girl to handle as she is burdened with the unexpected birth of a baby. A great deal of patience and hard work is necessary to nurture a baby and bringing up a child by people who themselves are children can be even tougher. Having to cope with everyday responsibilities of a small child and also attempting to work to obtain education can be very taxing on any teenager.

A teen mother has to cope up with a number of things. She faces pressures with finances as she has to cope with a bay and also run a family. It does not stop with only this she has to face the society where many people around look at her as an object of suspicion.

Many people have the view that teenage mothers as individuals are of doubtful character and have the opinion that her pregnancy is the cause of her sleeping around with many people. They also suspect her skills at parenting even if she follows the guidelines of parenting specialists.

Teenage mothers often have to cope with relationship difficulties as boy friends have the bad habit of leaving the scene on discovering that the girl is pregnant. Supporting a child by teenage parents is difficult as even the father is yet to finish his education and may not be having a steady income.

Children need to be cuddled and loved all the time. They require a great deal of their parent's time and always long for their parent's company and love to have their attention too. But teenage moms do not have all the time to devote to their child as they have to think about their education and also they have the additional worry of finances and for this they have to work part time.

Teenage Mothers need a lot of support from friend and family. Of course they have committed a graver mistake of having a child but then they should not be punished for what they have done as they have done it without realizing the consequences. So what ever support the family or friends can offer will be most welcome by the teenage mother.
