A stroke is caused when the blood supply to the brain is stopped or interrupted due a clot in the blood or bleeding. The resulting consequences of a stroke are far more devastating. The primary consequence is death. But the worst part of a stroke is the permanent disability. The disability may not be only physical because a stroke also alters the way of thinking of the patient. The working system of the speech therapists is often in very clean surroundings. They generally work on a table with clean and very comfortable surroundings. If working on patients in a medical setting, they work at the patient's bed. Some of the therapists may give their services at the home of the patient. The job may not be physically demanding but requires immense knowledge, concentration and every attention to the detail of the surrounding. The most important detail to be taken under consideration is the emotional requirement of the patient.
