Role of Vitamins in Fighting Diseases and Infection is important. Vitamin will fight against the disease with the help of diet and therefore it is mandatory to have the vitamin enriched diet. Hence lack of vitamins will cause the deficiency giving rise to disease.

Poorer part of the world is facing the problem of night blindness. Night blindness is nothing but vitamin A deficiency. Therefore to overcome the problem of night blindness intake of fish, liver and green leafy vegetable are necessary, they are enrich in vitamin A.

Deficiency of vitamin B12 lead to megaloblastic anemia and if it is severe then it may cause irreversible damage to nerves, liver and intestinal tract. Not only this; person may experience memory loss, hallucinations, eye disorder, and anemia. Therefore to avoid these diseases one prefer intake abundant amount of vitamin B12 through meat, milk and milk products.

Intake of Vitamin C fights against infection, immunology and cancer. Deficiency of vitamin C may cause bleeding gums, muscles degeneration and blood clouts. These problems can keep aside with intake of green vegetables, berries, citrus fruits.

Deficiency of vitamin d can affect the bones, heart, kidney and thyroid glands. The common symptoms of this are irregular heart beats, osteoporosis, brittle and delicate bones. To avoid it, one can expose them to the sun light; this will enhances the immune system.

Vitamin E deficiency causes enlargement of prostate gland, gastrointestinal disease, impotency and decreased circulation. Adequate amount of vitamin E prevents cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Vitamin E can be gain with vegetable oils, whole grains, spinach and milk.

Another vitamin necessary to body is vitamin K it fights against deformation of bones, low platelet count and poor blood clotting.

Folic acids are helpful in formation of red blood cells and is necessary for normal growth and development. Good sources of folic acid are beans, beef, barely and chicken. Deficiency of folic acid gives rise to depression, anxiety and birth defects in pregnant woman.

Well diet regulation, oral supplement or injections of vitamins will increase the vitamin level in the body. The persons who are unable to consume vitamin rich food can prefer oral supplement.
