Vitamins plays important role in the metabolism of the body. This will control the body's ability to burn fat, sugar for energy and helps in growth of protein. Hence, body will not control all these processes if body is vitamin deficient. As body is unable to produce vitamins and therefore external supplement is necessary. This can be provided through fresh vegetables, fruits, poultry meat and dairy products.

Many of the diseases can get cure with the adequate amount of vitamins. Kidney patients will also be helpful by consuming the vitamins in diet or through external supplement. Not all but some of the vitamins among all the vitamins are necessary for the kidney patients. This is because kidney patients are prescribing to have restricted diet in dairy products, fruits and vegetables. They try to prevent Vitamin B and potassium.

In kidney diseases, absorption and activity of some vitamins may get disturbed by ureic toxins. This is produced because of kidney diseases and as kidney becomes weak, this toxin is not filtered. Another reason of disturbance in the activity and absorption of vitamins is drugs. For these reasons kidney patient prefer selected vitamins in their diet.

For the peoples with kidney diseases, vitamin A is preferred as it is not dialyzed off and be inclined in the body with normal amount. Vitamin A is helpful in good vision. As there is no any side effect of vitamin A, it is preferred for kidney patients. Vitamin E is recommended for immune response and possible infection response. This is also useful in blood clotting. Generally, vitamin E will remain in the body of patient and therefore not required externally.

Along with these vitamins, vitamin D is also necessary for bone growth and maintenance. In kidney patients, activated vitamin D is in less quantity and therefore external supplement is necessary. Along with vitamin D, calcium is also required. Vitamin K will also help in blood clotting. Vitamin B1, B2, B12, biotin, pantothetic acid and folic acid are also recommended for the kidney patients. These vitamins will promote red blood cells formation, controls homocystein.

These necessary vitamins are preferred for the kidney patients.
