Foods containing Vitamin E are plentiful. However it is only possible to reap the full benefits of these Vitamin E rich foods if you cook and prepare the foods in the proper way. Some cooking methods actually zap the foods of most of their Vitamin E, meaning you miss out completely on its benefits!

Some of the best foods containing Vitamin E are sunflower seeds, almonds, spinach, chard and mustard and turnip greens. Other nuts also contain Vitamin E, including peanuts, pistachios and hazelnuts.

Food containing vitamin E must not be overcooked. This applies to vegetables in particular of course. Often people will cook their vegetables for so long that it completely kills all the nutrients inside it, depleting the food of its vitamin E value.

You should only steam or microwave vegetables rather than boiling them in water. You only need to steam them for a short time. Raw vegetables contain more nutrients than cooked vegetables, so try to keep cooking to a minimum so that your foods containing Vitamin E will retain their highest possible nutritional value.

Consider also eating plenty of broccoli, blueberries and olives to boost your Vitamin E intake. These foods play an important part in skin health as well. I personally eat one serving of blueberries per day, and my skin has definitely improved ten fold.

Vitamin E rich foods also have the benefit of protecting your skin from ultraviolet light, promoting healthy cells, protecting against Alzheimer's and cancer and assists in digestion and liver health.

Food containing vitamin E is everywhere. You are certainly not limited in choice. For maximum health benefits, consider including these foods in your diet on a regular basis.
