Difference Between Vitamins And Minerals
Good source of vitamins and minerals is daily food. Vitamins and minerals are essential elements, which makes body healthy and strong. One can get abundant amount of vitamins and minerals through natural organic food. Deficient peoples may supplement their food with vitamin pills or other tablets. To get right amount of vitamins and minerals proper combination of the organic food is required through the day. This will maintain our body. Therefore, for proper functioning of the body, both vitamins and minerals are needed but the main difference among them lies in there structure.
Vitamins:
Vitamins are the complex organic substance present in the animal or human body. Vitamins are necessary in proper functioning and metabolism of the body. Vitamins are basically of two types. These are water-soluble vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamin B1, B2, B3, B6 and B12, Biotin, pantothenic acid, vitamin C and folates are the water-soluble vitamins. These vitamins are soluble in water. These are required in the body to enzyme and catalyst. Another type of vitamin is fat-soluble vitamins. These vitamins are soluble in fats and are stored in fats in the body. Fat-soluble vitamins are vitamin D, E, A and K.
Minerals:
Minerals are inorganic compounds in the body. These are essential in the body to make and repair hard as well as soft body tissues. These are also helpful for proper functions of the body. Generally, these minerals are in two types in the body that are trace elements and major elements.
Vitamins and minerals together are use to keep body in the prime conditions. Peoples need vitamins and minerals to enhance the growth and repair tissues and muscles. As vitamins and minerals are needed for the functioning of the body, both are needed every time. However, one is past the growing age these are still essential requirements in the body. This will provide good health and proper nourishment.
Daily diet is the good source of vitamins and minerals. Therefore, this must be adequate with the proper amount of all vitamins and minerals. If any person is lack in the vitamins and minerals besides intake of food then person try to supplement the food with external supply of pills.
