The vitamins of the B are a group of vitamins that contains eight vitamins. We call these eight vitamins together as the B-complex vitamins. They also play a very important role in our body. Generally, the medical world has given them the names as the vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, to vitamin B8. In addition to this, also the group includes some more vitamins, which are not useful to the human body.

As this is a complete group of vitamins, the deficiency of each of the member of this group will cause deficiencies accordingly.

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) – This vitamin also has the name Thiamine. If the body faces the deficiency of it then it may face the disease called the Beriberi. In this disease, the body faces the problems with the nervous system, the heartbeats, or failure of the heart. Thus in some cases due the problems with the heart it may also cause death. In addition to this disease also causes loss in the weight or emotional disturbances. Some people also face the problems of the paining of the limbs, which may also include the swelling. It may also cause the Korsakoff's syndrome. This is an irreversible psychosis in which amnesia of confabulation.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) -Its deficiency causes the disease Ariboflavinosis. Due to this, the person may face the problems as the cracking of the lips and sensitiveness towards the sunlight. It also shows the diseases as angular cheilitis glossitis, seborrheic dermatitis or pseudo-syphilis, pharyngeal edema, oral mucosa, hyperemia and pharngytis.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin) – Deficiency, may cause Pellagra. Then the body would show Symptoms as, dermatitis, diarrhea, insomnia, overall weakness. This also affects the mental health and causes mental confusion, aggression, etc. In extreme cases, pellagra causes dementia and death.

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) – This may result in the problems as the acne and Paresthesia.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) – The person will face problems as anemia, depression dramatis etc. it also causes the problems with the blood pressure, the mechanism of water retention in the body and the alterations in the levels of the homocysteine.

Vitamin B7 (Biotin) – The deficiency will affect the growth of the body and the nervous system of the body.

Vitamin B9 (Folic acid) – Its deficiency can cause macrocytic anemia and increase in the levels of the homocycteine. This also causes problems with during the pregnancy. This increases the age of the brain.

Vitamin B12 cyanocobalamin – this can result in the diseases as, macrocytic anemia, increase in the level of homocysteine. This also affects the peripheral neuropathy, congnitive deficits. This may also result in paralysis.
