You are going through the process of cleansing out your colon – good for you. Do yourself a favor and do not gunk it all up again, strive to eat a healthier diet from now on. It would be silly to eat processed foods and junk foods while going through the process of cleaning the toxins out of your colon caused by these very foods! It is important to eat healthy while you are cleansing. Here are some tips on what foods to eat and what not to eat during your colon cleansing and afterwards as well.

First of all, you should know what to avoid eating and drinking:

Alcoholic beverages

All Fast Foods

Avoid smoking and second hand smoke

Coffee and Black Tea

Coke, Pepsi and other sodas

Limit the rice

Pasteurized milk

Potato chips, Cookies, Cakes and other junk foods

Ramen, and other quick foods

The process of the colon cleansing can be de-energizing and the expulsion can make you feel a little sick at times and also you may feel exhausted or sleepy. To help with these symptoms you may experience, it is important to use supplements. The following is a list of supplements you may find helpful:

Probiotic – this helps to replenish the good bacteria that cleansing takes out of your colon. Latero-Flora is a probiotic. Kefir and fermented sauerkraut are also both good ways to resupply your colon with good bacteria.

Egg Yolk – this is actually one of the most nutritious food you can eat. It contains all of the necessary vitamins and minerals you need. Eating one raw yolk a day is like taking a multi-vitamin, except it is all natural. You can mix the yolk with a glass of RiceDream Milk, or with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or other vegetable or fruit juice. Egg yolk also makes an excellent salad dressing. If you are eating raw egg yolk for the first time, then you may want to take it slow by eating just one teaspoon at first and then increase the amount slowly until you can eat the whole yolk.

Oils – Oil supplements are very beneficial. Wheat Germ Oil has lots of vitamin E. Fish Oil has Omega-3 fatty acids. Oils maintain hormonal balance, and keep our glands and skin smooth. Other helpful oils are Coconut Oil, cod Liver or Olive Oil.

Vitamin C – This will help you to feel less sluggish. Take one per day, preferably in the morning.

Yeast Flakes – this sounds disgusting, but it is quite nutritious and full of B-vitamins and minerals. Add a scoup of yeast flakes to milk or juice.

All of these supplements are healthy to take during a colon cleanse or anytime.
