<p>These are questions people grapple with when wanting to build abdominal muscles (otherwise known as a six pack!).</p>
<p>A woman&#8217;s abs diet is not vastly different to a man&#8217;s in content. Rather the quantity can vary, depending on your body size.</p>
<p>An abs diet for a woman should still consist of an array of high protein foods. This is the basic rule of muscle building, and a woman wanting abs is no different in this respect to a guy who is working to build himself up into a beefcake. Sure, a woman will eat LESS protein than a man; however the menu will remain overall quite similar.</p>
<p>Some examples of foods in an abs diet for a woman include plenty of lean meats (chicken and turkey in particular) as well as fish, eggs, milk, protein drinks and protein bars (beware of some of these containing high amounts of sugar, always read the label).</p>
<p>It goes without saying that in addition to the above mentioned protein rich foods, a woman wanting abs also needs to stick to a diet of fresh vegetables.</p>
<p>Fatty foods should obviously be avoided, as should the usual junk food, greasy take out and high sugar foods.</p>
<p>Yes, carbohydrates are still required here. Try to stick to high fiber, wholemeal varieties where possible &#8211; personally I am totally off white carbohydrates now. Not only is wholemeal better for you, it also tastes better than its white counterpart.</p>
<p>The carbohydrates a woman wanting abs should consume include brown rice, potatoes, oatmeal, high fiber cereals and breads.</p>
<p>Food should not be eaten in large amounts. In other words, graze like a cow. Eating several times a day will help your metabolism, and will also stop you from feeling bloated and tired after eating, as can often happen after a large meal.</p>
<p>So there you have it &#8211; a basic diet outline for a woman wishing to build her abs.</p>
<p>Remember diet is just one half of the equation &#8211; the fun part is the exercise!</p>

<p>Fruit is commonly misunderstood to be a fantastic ingredient in an abs diet recipe. But be warned that many fruits are high in sugar, so fruit intake needs to be kept to a minimum. I eat an apple or banana per day, and a few berries here and there as well for the antioxidant value.</p>
<p>Water is a vital factor in your abs diet for a woman. Drinking two to three liters of day is ideal. Some people find it difficult to drink that much, but do ensure you are drinking at the very least a liter and a half of water per day.</p>
<p>You will find over time you will gradually be able to consume more and more water each day. You will notice that you will visit the bathroom more often. Obviously this is normal, and healthy! You are releasing toxins from your body which can only be a positive step.</p>
<p>An abs diet meal plan need not be complicated or completely a strict regime. Fish and other protein foods should always weigh heavily. Vegetables are a must, particular raw or very lightly cooked so to conserve their nutrients.</p>

<p>Fish is a bodybuilder&#8217;s best friend, and we consume a lot of it. Fish can be cooked in many different ways, so you need not grow bored of the same abs diet recipe.</p>
<p>I do prefer to grill my fish as it does not require any additives such as oil. Never and I mean never, consume deep fried fish if you are serious about your abs and your body as a whole &#8211; needless to say any deep fried, fatty junk food will put your gym routine on a backwards route pretty quickly!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The lemonade cleansing diet is a short term diet which is similar to a juicing fast. Whilst carrying out this particular cleansing diet you will need to follow it carefully and you will often carry it out for between 10 to 40 days. Whilst on this diet the sole source for all your energy and nutrients that your body needs comes from the lemonade which is made from freshly squeezed lemon juice, along with purified or spring water, cayenne pepper and Grade B maple syrup. But as well as drinking this mixture each day you will also need to drink a salt water flush and each evening before going to bed have a laxative herbal tea drink as well. Plus the only other drinks that you may be allowed to consume whilst on the lemonade cleansing diet are pure water and peppermint tea.</p>
<p>However once the cleansing has been completed you will then need to follow a strict regime at the end. This commences with you drinking only freshly squeezed citrus juices (oranges, lemons, limes etc) for approximately the next 36 hours. Then you will gradually start to include raw vegetables and fruit or cooked vegetable soups over the next 3 to 5 days and then you can return to eat your normally healthy balanced diet at the end.</p>
<p>By using the lemonade cleansing diet as part of your healthy lifestyle you are allowing your digestive tract to have a rest and so cleanse your system of any impurities as well as eliminating toxins that have become stored in various parts of your body. It also helps to burn excess fat stores that many people now suffer from. However, it is important that prior to starting any sort of fasting or cleansing diet you talk to your doctor.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Your abs diet workout need not be necessarily overly strenuous or repetitive. In fact, I have many, many different exercises I do to tone my ab muscles.</p>
<p>Here I will outline just a couple of the abs diet workout exercises I undertake.</p>
<p>As you probably know, it is not at all beneficial to do these every single day. Three days per week is sufficient as your abs muscles need time to recover and grow for you to see the results.</p>
<p>Sit ups on an inclined bench</p>
<p>This is my favorite abs diet workout. Why? Because it can be done almost anywhere, not just at the gym.</p>
<p>You need an inclining (sloped) surface. An incline bench at the gym is ideal; however this can also be done at home.</p>
<p>Lay down on your back, hands crossed on your chest and head pointing towards the ground. Legs should be hanging over the edge of the bench.</p>
<p>Attempt to do around 15 reps per set. Once you are comfortable with this, you may add weights to your chest.</p>
<p>This sort of abs diet workout will get your muscle toned in no time at all, as long as you slightly increase your reps, sets or weights gradually.</p>
<p>Upper body lifts</p>
<p>This sort of abs diet workout exercise not only stresses your abs, but also the rest of your upper body including your chest and arms.</p>
<p>I like to do this one at the gym, as I use the equipment that allows you to rest both forearms on two rests, with your hands firmly holding the vertical bars at the end. The arm rests should be elevated enough that you can barely touch the ground once you have pulled yourself up.</p>
<p>Keep your legs together and pull your knees up towards your head. At first it is easier to keep the knees bent, but as you progress, keeping the legs straight will cause greater stress on your muscles.</p>
<p>The abs diet workout would not be complete without one key ingredient &#8211; the diet!</p>
<p>Sticking to high protein, low fat foods are essential to build your abdominal muscles.</p>
<p>We have several articles on this website focused on eating the right foods for your abs diet workout regime, and sticking to this plan is an absolutely vital aspect of toning your ab muscles!</p>

Unfortunately if not you will often find that the diet will not be as effective as you hoped. The lemonade diet is used by most people in order to help with the following.</p>
<p>1. People will use it when they have become sick in order to help treat either an acute or chronic condition.</p>
<p>2. Whilst other people will use it because their digestive system needs a rest and they want to cleanse it.</p>
<p>3. There are some people that use this particular diet in order to help with their excess weight.</p>
<p>4. Finally a lot of people use it as a way of better assimilating as well as building up body tissue if it is needed.</p>
<p>When carrying out a lemonade diet the instructions that you need to follow are shown below.</p>
<p>1. It must be followed for a minimum of 10 days and you can if you wish carry out the lemonade diet for up 40 days. However, if needed and in some extreme cases some people may use it for more than 40 days.</p>
<p>2. During the course of the diet you are allowed to drink the lemonade recipe along with a salt water flush and laxative tea each day. Also you may if you wish include water (pure or spring) and peppermint tea in to the regime also.</p>
<p>However what is important to note that if you are a diabetic then there are a specific set of the lemonade diet instructions which you will need to follow and which differ from those that a person without diabetes uses. It is important that you follow these to the letter as the maple syrup used in this recipe supplies your body with necessary elements in order for your pancreas to produce insulin.</p>
